Dundee Flower and Food festival - Camperdown Park - 3rd-5th September 2010
Perhaps the biggest event held in the city - the Dundee Flower and Food festival is held annually in Camperdown Park and receives around 30,000 visitors over the three days the event is held. There are massive marquees with live cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs and the flower exhibitions are quite spectacular. There is always lots of entertainment each day from bands to magicians so everyone will be entertained. Because the event is held in September there is usually a good chance of nice weather but last year visitors had to be turned away on the Friday because of torrential rain. Quite simply the Dundee Flower and Food festival is not to be missed!
Dundee International Guitar Festival - Marryat Hall - 11th-13th July 2010
Celebrate the music of the guitar, in its many forms, at Dundee's International Guitar Festival, this July. Attracting both UK and International guitarists, this event plays host to guitar masterclasses, demonstrations and a general passion about guitar music. Anyone who likes music will enjoy this festival.
Dundee Jazz Festival 2010 - Dates TBC
The Dundee Jazz festival is an annual event that is held in a number of bars and venues throughout Dundee. The festical attracts some of Scotland's best jazz groups and performers and is of huge appeal to both vistors and residents alike. Acts like Randy Brecker, Georgie Fame, Jazz Jamaica, Hue & Cry and Salsa Celtica perform at the event providing mellow, relaxed tones - perfect for enjoying a pint!
