Events worth Seeing in Angus
There are some great events to attend in Angus and D&A has prepard a few of out favourites here. Glaims Castle hosts a lot of events in Angus including the Grand Scottish Prom and Scottish Transport extravaganza though there are plenty of events held in other locations throughout Angus.

Arbroath SeafestArbroath Seafest - Arbroath Harbour - 21st-22nd August - 2010

Arbroath SeaFest is an annual festival of the Sea held in August along Arbroath's seafront, charming harbour and new marina. It celebrates the town's maritime heritage, including the famous Arbroath Smokie which now has the same protected status as Parma Ham and Champagne . The event includes boat dressing competitions (well worth seeing), fishing displays and music shows among others.

The 36th Scottish Transport Extravaganza in 2010 is hosted by the Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club at Glamis Castle in July each year. A magnificent celebration of things mechanical and roadworthy, the weekend is a must for lovers of classic, vintage, and veteran vehicles of every sort. Suitable for the whole family, with craft and food stalls, and set in the glorious surroundings of the grounds at Glamis Castle.

Grand Scottish Prom - Glamis Castle - 14th of August - 2010

Glamis PromThis must be one of the greatest events that Angus has to offer and even if you are not an avid fan of classical music this will be one of the best things you could possibly do when you are in Angus. Imagine sitting on the grass on a warm summers evening enjoying a drink with friends or family watching the sun set whilst listening to stunning classical music played live by the Scottish Symphony Orchestra. Add Glamis Castle as the backdrop and throw in a spectacular fireworks display to music as the finale and you are in for a truly wonderful evening. The event is held in August every year but even in August the Scottish weather can be very unpredictable so make sure that you have a waterproof on hand just in case. Tickets typically cost around £30 pounds and in our opinion are worth every penny!
